The Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC) is one of the 40 Sector Skill Councils under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). It has been set up with the objective of facilitating the skill development activities in the Power Sector, including capacity building for training delivery to meet the industry needs. The council has been promoted by Central Electricity Authority, Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers Association. Other key stakeholders are the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
TPSDI is a registered training partner of the PSSC. Under this partnership, TPSDI will bring select NSDC - PSSC recognized Skills for the benefit of Youth and others.
Tata Strive is a Tata Group-level sustainability initiative that aims to set up replicable model for training and skill development. Tata STRIVE will address the pressing national need of skilling India's youth for employment, entrepreneurship and community enterprise. It will optimize and scale up the various skill initiatives currently being undertaken across Tata companies, aligning them with national and global occupation standards. The knowledge expertise within Tata companies will bring in quality into the training programs, besides appropriate certification and measurement of outcomes.
TPSDI is working with Tata Strive on co-creation, delivery and certification of select courses. In future, TPSDI will also look at delivering its courses in other geographies leveraging Tata Strive's network.
